Diwan Arabic Study Groups
Do students in the study groups perform work outside their private lessons?
Yes. Students in the study groups are placed in different discussion groups. It is an expectation that they will complete work each week outside of their private lessons.
If students do not actively participate in the study group can they be removed?
Yes. Diwan staff will communicate in advance that the student in the study group is not meeting expectations. The student will have an interim period to remedy their participation. If no changes takes place, the student will be removed from the study group and offered the opportunity to take private lessons instead at the higher price point.
How much time is really expected for participation in the study groups?
Students should budget time so spend anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour a week participating in the study group. Their participation is actively monitored and discussed with Diwan staff.
Is Arabic Circle attendance mandatory for students in the study group?
No. Arabic Circle is highly recommended, but it is not required. Arabic Circle is part of the Diwan Arabic Philosophy and Pedagogy.
